Observatory Pier Upgrade
June 5th &
10th, 2006
(Phase Three)
Work has continued on the Observatory upgrade.
The
pier has been given a coat of paint and it looks great.
The
floor joists were replaced where needed and
then repairs were made to the floor itself.
Thanks to Don Risner for his Painting & Carpentry skills.
Lastly,
carpeting tiles were placed to soften the floor
a bit, and also to add some needed insulation from
the winter cold. A quarter of an inch of carpet makes
a world of difference when the temperature is
below freezing!!! Chris did duty as a Carpet Installer...
The finished floor! Now for the telescope installation!!
